The Dodgers Lineup Woke Up! An Absolute Slugfest in Toronto

Man, what a game today!

This lineup explosion on the road in Toronto — I can't get enough! 14-2! I lost count of how many beers I cracked open!

Let's Break Down Every Ohtani At-Bat

First inning, he got fooled on a changeup for a lineout. Exit velo was 89 mph though, so the contact wasn't bad at all. I was sitting there in front of the TV going, "Ah well, it's the first at-bat — next one, next one!"

His second at-bat in the 3rd — now this one was hilarious. Exit velo of 46 mph, so he was totally jammed. But this guy legs it out for an infield hit anyway. Those wheels! Fleming on the mound must've been standing there in total disbelief.

4th inning was a flyout, but this one stung. Exit velo over 100 mph! How does that not go out?! Launch angle was 42 degrees — popped it up just a touch too high. I screamed "NOOO, SO CLOSE!" at my TV.

And then the 6th. The 4th at-bat in the 6th inning — THIS was the one. He crushes a sinker for a 414-foot home run! Exit velo of 107.8 mph — how far does this man want to hit them?! Laid off two balls, then BOOM — one perfect swing. That's Shohei Ohtani for you. I jumped up off my couch screaming. Probably woke up the whole neighborhood.

7th and 8th innings were strikeouts, but we were up by 10+ runs at that point. I was just sitting there thinking, "You've done more than enough today, buddy. Take it easy!" Totally fine by me.

The Whole Team Was Unreal

It wasn't just Ohtani — the entire lineup was absolutely ridiculous today. Teoscar opens things up with a homer in the 1st! Freeman adds a solo shot in the 3rd.

And then there's Rushing. This kid hit TWO home runs today! Back-to-back blasts in the 7th and 8th. That kind of clutch power at his age — this kid's gonna be scary good. Andy Pages ripped a timely double, Tucker had a sac fly — literally everyone top to bottom was raking.

A 14-run explosion — I was exhausted just watching. But hey, it's the good kind of tired.

Ohtani went 2-for-6 with a homer. That 414-foot moonshot alone made the whole game worth it. Even that flyout in the 4th had an exit velo over 100 mph, so his bat is clearly dialed in.
