Sugano collapses at MIN: zero whiffs on sinker, LHB OPS .916 exposes platoon vulnerability

Sugano's start against the Twins on June 27 was a clear step backward, surrendering 8 hits and 7 earned runs over 5.0 innings with his game ERA reaching 12.60 — well above his season mark of 4.80. This performance was not isolated. Among his last 10 starts, a near-identical meltdown occurred on June 15 against Oakland (5.0 IP, 8H, 6ER, 2K), and the sharp contrast with his June 21 gem against Pittsburgh (6.0 IP, 1ER, 5K) highlights how volatile his form has become. The good-to-bad swing pattern is now a recurring theme, and the consistency that defined his early-season run is clearly eroding.
